PandaNutrition

This nutritional therapy service offers dietary consultations based on the principles of the GAPS diet for the treatment of chronic illnesses. GAPS stands for Gut and Psychology/Physiology Syndrome, a nutritional protocol developed by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride.

  • GAPS is a root-cause dietary approach based on the concept that all disease begins in the gut—a conclusion famously espoused by Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician and so-called Father of Medicine.

  • The GAPS protocol is specially designed to help address and alleviate the symptoms of chronic diseases, including autoimmunity, neurodevelopmental conditions, hormone dysregulation, psychiatric problems, and digestive disorders.

  • GAPS disorders, although distinct from each other, share an underlying cause and pathophysiology. Increased intestinal permeability, abnormal gut flora, and immune dysregulation are the trifecta in every chronic illness, and these factors must be specifically targeted to resolve the disease process.

  • Through my service, I aim to educate on the potential causes of illness and demonstrate how adopting certain lifestyle changes can meet the body's needs for healing, enabling you to achieve freedom from debility.

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation lasts 1.5 hours. The client’s health history and current condition are assessed using the pre-clinic questionnaire that is emailed beforehand. This time is used for answering questions and ensuring full understanding of the recommended protocol. The plan will be based on the GAPS diet, in which lifestyle information and meal ideas are provided.

Follow-Up Consultation

The first follow-up appointment lasts 1.5 hours and involves evaluating the client's adherence to the protocol, identifying any issues that may have arisen, and adjusting the current plan if necessary. Every effort is made to support the client’s transition and promote continued success. Supplementation options and testing are also discussed.

Follow-Up Consultation 2

The second follow-up consultation lasts 1.5 hours. This appointment is usually offered to clients who have followed the diet for a few months.
